The present invention provides polymer particles, a method for producing the polymer particles, and a use of the same. The polymer particles can be uniformly distributed in a dispersion liquid and can be sufficiently coagulated when a dispersion liquid is volatilized. The polymer particles according to the present invention comprise: a constituent unit derived from a monomer containing a hydroxyl group represented by chemical formula 1 and/or chemical formula 2; a constituent unit derived from a mono-functional (meth)acrylic monomer; a constituent unit derived from a mono-functional styrene-based monomer, and a constituent unit derived from a cross-linking monomer. A volume average particle diameter thereof is 5 μm or smaller, and a hydroxyl group valence is 5.0 to 15 mgKOH/g, inclusive.
