PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a purified polysaccharide fiber that is produced by using a raw material having less environmental load, and can suppress deformation of a tire during travel and can suppress heat generation of a side reinforcing rubber layer when used in a run-flat tire, and a run-flat tire excellent in tire characteristics including the same.SOLUTION: The purified polysaccharide fiber is made by: contacting a polysaccharide solution obtained by dissolving a polysaccharide raw material in a liquid containing an ion solution with a solidifying liquid and spinning the polysaccharide. The relation between a strength TB (cN/dtex) and an elongation at break EB (%) at 25°C satisfies the following formula (1) and the following formula (2), and when the strength at 150°C is defined as HT (cN/dtex), the strength retention (HT/TB) is 70 to 100 (%). |
