PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for suppressing generation of surplus sludge.SOLUTION: The method for suppressing generation of surplus sludge includes treating organic waste water by using microorganisms in an aeration tank while using activated sludge subjected to reforming treatment by aeration of an oxygen-enriched gas and maintaining 2,000 mg/L to 30,000 mg/L of MLSS concentration in the aeration tank.
