[Class 64(i)] In a hot - water boiler supplying boiling water and hot water at a temperature below boiling point for domestic, cafe or like purposes, the steam space b of the boiling compartment B is surrounded by an annular chamber C the inner wall c of which forms a wall of the steam space and is of truncated conical shape. Inflowing water passes through the annular chamber C before entering the boiling compartment B so that steam rising from the water in the boiling compartment condenses on the wall c and falls back into the boiling water. Water enters the chamber C through pipe c<1> and passes into the chamber B through apertures c<2>. Heated water is withdrawn through pipe b<2>. The boiling compartment may be surrounded by fins b<1>. |
