This display system (10) includes the following: a display unit (6), in a handheld terminal, that displays a document image that is larger than a display region; a displacement-amount computation unit (14) that computes a displacement direction and a displacement amount for the handheld terminal along an imaginary plane set parallel to the display surface of the display unit (6); and a document-image specification unit (16) that, on the basis of the displacement direction and displacement amount computed by the displacement-amount computation unit (14), specifies a region of the document image to display instead of a region thereof being displayed by the display unit (6). |
