A linear actuator (100) that is provided with: a first tube (10) that has provided to the inside thereof coils (41) that are held by a yoke (40); a second tube (20) that is provided to the outer circumference of the first tube (10); a rod (30) that has one end affixed to an end part of the second tube (20); permanent magnets (31) that are held by the rod (30) so as to be aligned in the axial direction; and a linking member (2) that is provided to the outside of the second tube (20) and that is linked to external equipment. The rod (30) has a non-magnetic body (33) at the end thereof that is affixed to the second tube (20). The second tube (20) has an outer tube (21) that is formed along the outer circumference of the first tube (10) and has a small diameter part (22A) that has a smaller diameter than the outer tube (21) and that is formed along the outer circumference of the non-magnetic body (33) of the rod (30). The linking member (2) is arranged to the outside of an end surface of the small diameter part (22A) of the second tube (20). |
