[Class 83 (iii)] A rocking tool-holder for an automatic lathe comprises several drilling or like tool-spindles 13, 14, and several levers 25 against which the holder 12 bears under the constraint of a spring 38, each lever being connected through a spring 30 to its controlling cam 31, 32 and having its working position determined by a stop-screw 41, 42. The holder is pivoted about a shaft 19 and a shaft 17 carrying a pinion 16 which rotates the tool-spindles through an elongated pinion 15 ; the spindle gears slide along the pinion 15 as the tools are fed at the appropriate time against spring-pressure by a camoperated pin 37. |
