PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circulating fluidized bed furnace having a valve part capable of controlling circulation of a fluid medium, though in a simple structure.SOLUTION: A circulating fluidized bed furnace 10 includes a medium circulation part 20 provided with a valve part 30 for controlling distribution of a fluid medium M collected in a cyclone part 18 to a riser part 14. The valve part 30 includes: a storage pipe 40 erected enabling a fluid medium M flowing out from the cyclone part 18 to flow down, enabling the fluid medium M to be stored in the inside at an angle of repose &thetas; of the fluid medium M at an outflow port 40a formed and opened at a side surface of the bottom part, and enabling it to flow out from the outflow port 40a; and a connection pipe 42 connecting between the outflow port 40a of the storage pipe 40 and a return port 14a formed and opened at a lower part of the riser part 14 laterally, preventing the fluid medium M from flowing down, and having a passage length b thereof set to be shorter than an extension line L at an angle of repose &thetas; of the fluid medium M in the outflow port 40a. |
