PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electricity storage device in which the leakage of an electrolyte from at least one of a boundary part between a lid and a case and a boundary part between the lid and a closing member can be suitably confirmed, and a method for manufacturing the electricity storage device.SOLUTION: A secondary battery 10 includes a case 11. The case 11 includes an opening, and the opening is closed by a lid 13. The lid 13 has two through holes formed therein, and each of the through holes is closed by each of fastening parts 61, 71 or the like, respectively.
