PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a center-core type optical fiber cable capable of obtaining sufficient waterproof characteristics even if the number of cable core wires of a cable core is large.SOLUTION: A cable core 10 composed of multiple optical fiber core wires 11 is disposed at the center of an optical fiber cable 101. A sheath 50 covers the cable core 10. A portion of the optical fiber core wires 11 positioned on a center side in the cable core 10 is defined as an inner peripheral side core part 10a, and a portion of the optical fiber core wires 11 positioned on an outer peripheral side in the cable core 10 is defined as an outer peripheral side core part 10b. The outer peripheral side core part 10b is wound with a water absorption tape 41, and the inner peripheral side core part 10a is wound at least partly in a circumferential direction with a water absorption tape 42 that is identical or different with the water absorption tape 41. |
