PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a period of time required to complete recording after the recording is started taking characteristics in which a controller and a recording device communicate with each other, cooperate with each other and perform the recording on a recording medium into account.SOLUTION: A recording control section 21a of a host computer 10 is configured such that data compression by a plurality of different compression methods is possible. When causing an image to be recorded on a thermosensitive roll sheet by a printer 11, the recording control section 21a contains compression image data, causes the compression image data to be decompressed, causes image data to be generated, and generates a control command for causing the image to be recorded on the thermosensitive roll sheet on the basis of the image data generated and transmits the control command to the printer 11 while inquiring of the printer 11 the compression method capable of decompressing, performing the data compression of the image data of the image by the compression method capable of decompressing and generating the compression image data. |
