PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To allow for simple evaluation of the diffusion state of Li ions in an active material.SOLUTION: In an inspection method of a Li ion battery, an electrode active material and a Li-containing piece are brought into contact with each other at first, a test piece where the electrode active material and the Li-containing piece are immersed into an electrolyte capable of conducting Li ions is prepared, and then the image of the test piece is acquired over time using image acquisition means. Thereafter, based on the optical characteristics of the test piece in the image thus acquired, the test piece is sectioned into a plurality of regions and the boundary location of each region is measured over time, and then a value related to the diffusion characteristics of Li ions in the electrode active material is calculated from the measurement results. |
