PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a valve timing adjusting device capable of improving response of stopper piston cancellation.SOLUTION: A valve timing adjusting device 1 comprises a stopper piston 40 for restraining relative rotation between a housing 20 and a vane rotor 30. When the vane rotor 30 is at a most delay angle position, oil pressure supply from first advance angle oil paths 71, 73 to advance angle chambers 61, 63 is allowed, and oil pressure supply from second advance angle oil paths 70, 72 to advance angle chambers 60, 62 is restrained by inner walls 261, 241 in an inner radial direction of shoes 26, 24. Oil in the second advance angle oil path 70 passes through an axial oil path 80 and a housing oil path 81, and is supplied to a first piston pressure chamber for cancelling fitting of the stopper piston 40. Thereby, a distance from an oil pressure control valve 92 to the first piston pressure chamber via the second advance angle oil path 70, the axial oil path 80 and the housing oil path 81 can be made short. |
