The invention relates to a climate system for a greenhouse, wherein said greenhouse comprises a growing space for growing plants that is substantially sealed from an outside environment, wherein in said growing space at a position above the plants a cover has been provided for separating said growing space in a growing part below said cover and a screen part above said cover. The system is characterized in that the climate system is embodied for providing a first climate in the growing part and a second climate in the screen part, wherein said first climate and said second climate may be identical. The invention further relates to a method for controlling a climate in a growing greenhouse using a climate system according to the invention.
