According to the present invention, a password management method is a method for managing a password through a finance task management system. According to the present invention, the method comprises: a step of receiving an encryption password with regard to a customer from a portable terminal managed by a financial institution employee; a step of generating a reference number corresponding to the encryption password; and a step of transmitting the reference number to the portable terminal. The purpose of the present invention is to allow a customer to safely conduct a task without exposing a customer′s password to a financial institution employee.
