PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reception apparatus, a reception method and a transmission method which improve convenience for a user by determining whether or not a program being currently received or to be received in the future by the reception apparatus is a 3D program.SOLUTION: In a digital broadcasting for broadcasting with 3D video program content and 2D video program content mixed with each other, a transmission apparatus generates a digital signal obtained by multiplexing, scrambling, and modulating video of coded program content together with identification information to identify whether the program content is the 3D video program content or the 2D video program content, and transmits the generated digital signal as a digital broadcast signal. A reception apparatus receives the transmitted digital broadcast signal and determines whether the received program content is the 3D video program content or the 2D video program content on the basis of the identification information of the received program content. |
