The sealing water system (S) has a closed circuit (1) in which the trapped sealing water is pumped and recirculated for applying a mechanical seal (G), where the sealing water acts on a supply pump (4). A sealing water-temperature setting unit is provided upstream relative to the mechanical seal in the circuit. The trapped sealing water is regenerated, particularly in the circuit or in the circuit associated with a treatment system (11). A sealing water storage container (3) is integrated in the circuit, particularly a sealing water-feed tank with a clean water refill device (9). |
