The present invention relates to an accident recording device to investigate a cause of sudden unintended acceleration by using a standard OBD communication method, capable of checking whether a driver steps on an acceleration pedal or brake pedal in a sudden unintended acceleration situation by collecting data for the investigation of a cause of sudden unintended acceleration and additionally detecting operational data of the brake pedal, while preventing damage to vehicle information by collecting vehicle data through connection with a DLC of the vehicle but being connected to every vehicle regardless of manufacturers or models through standard OBD2 communication. According to the present invention, the accident recording device includes: a cable (10) connected to the DLC (1) of the vehicle; a braking force sensing unit detecting information to check whether the braking pedal is operated or not; and an external storage collecting and storing driving information of the vehicle (velocity, engine rpm, operational quantity of the acceleration pedal, opening degrees of a throttle valve, a battery voltage, at least one among air pressure and intake flux in an intake manifold, and a pedal position) as well as storing an operational state of the braking pedal, measured through the braking force sensing unit. |
