PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a geocoding system capable of improving the secrecy of address information of a client and properly billing a charge.SOLUTION: A geocoding system is configured such that an agent device 2 receives address information of a client from a client device 1 for requesting geocoding, transmits the address information (superordinate address information) up to town/street names in the address information of the client to a geocoding server 4 when the coordinate data corresponding to the address information is not stored in an auxiliary address DB 22, sends to an agent device 2 an address list including the coordinate data corresponding to a plurality of pieces of address information by each town/street number with the address DB 42 referred to by the geocoding server 4 based on the superordinate address information, and the agent device 2 retrieves the coordinate data corresponding to the address information of the client from the address list and transmits the same to the client device 1. |
