Disclosed are a method and a device for estimating a state of health (SOH) of a battery. According to an embodiment of the present invention, the method may comprise: a step of estimating a partial discharging time and a voltage of a battery; a step of acquiring a normalized partial discharging time by using a normalized battery model with regard to a standard battery time; a step of calculating a complete discharging time of the relevant battery by using the partial discharging time and the normalized partial discharging time; and a step of estimating the SOH of the battery by using a proportion between a pre-stored complete discharging time of a standard battery and the complete discharging time of the battery. According to the present invention, user experience may be improved, as a user may determine an operation mode.
