510,368. Power and voltage measurements. SIEMENS-REINIGER-WERKE AKT.-GES. Feb. 22, 1938, No. 5596. Convention date, July 9, 1937. [Class 37] Apparatus for measuring the high-frequency energy absorbed by a subject under short-wave treatment comprises a high-frequency generator and condenser electrodes connected to the treatment and substitute subjects, the potential difference at the electrodes or other points being measured in respect of the energy absorbed in terms of watts upon an electrical instrument connected purely capacitatively to the electrode circuit. The energy conversion may be effected by calorimetric, thermo-electric or photometric means, the instrument 5 including a moving-coil meter calibrated in watts. A number of scales are provided for different electrodes 3, in dependence upon the particular treatment given. The capacitance coupling is effected between the conductors 6 and electrode leads 4. |
