The purpose of the present invention is to provide a control device or the like capable of displaying character strings set by a user without delaying the drawing operation for any other images. When a display screen needs to be updated, a central processing device (41) sends a drawing processing device (42) a first command instructing the drawing processing device to batch draw the updated display screen. When receiving a suspension signal from the drawing processing device, the central processing device sends the drawing processing device a series of second commands instructing the drawing processing device to draw a part of a user-set image preliminarily set by a user. When receiving the first command, the drawing processing device starts batch drawing of the display screen on the basis of a screen configuration table stored in a storage device (40), corresponding to the display screen to be updated. If the screen configuration table includes suspension information indicating that the batch drawing should be suspended, the drawing processing device suspends the batch drawing while outputting a suspension signal to the central processing device, and when receiving a second command from the central processing device, the drawing processing device draws the portion corresponding to the second command received in the user-set image. |
