PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system and method for efficient multi-channel SATCOM.SOLUTION: A radio system comprises an antenna, a baseband module, a power amplifier and a variable power source. The baseband module is configured to output a first signal to the antenna, to predistort the first signal based on a calculated coefficient and to output a second signal. The second signal is determined based on one or more properties of the first signal and the second signal is outputted if the one or more properties of the first signal are changed. The power amplifier is coupled to the baseband module and the antenna in a communicable manner and configured to amplify the predistorted signal. The variable power source is coupled to the power amplifier and the baseband module in a communicable manner. The variable power source is configured to receive the second signal and to generate a variable drain supply voltage corresponding to the second signal.
