PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To alleviate aliasing likely to arise from reduction in vertical resolution upon driving gate doubling, and to smooth a peripheral edge of a picture.SOLUTION: A drive method of a display device includes: a step where a signal control unit creates output picture data by cutting down vertical resolution of input picture data, or processing the input picture data having the vertical resolution reduced; a step where a data drive unit creates a data voltage on the basis of the output picture data, and applies the data voltage to the data line; and a step where a gate drive unit applies a gate-on voltage pulse to k pieces of adjacent gate lines corresponding to each picture data on the output picture data, in a display device including the signal control unit controlling the data drive unit and gate drive unit. In a first frame, the output picture data corresponding to one part pixel row of the output picture data is left or right moved by at least one pixel to drive the data drive unit.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4 |
