PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printer having improved ease of releasing locks of a cover.SOLUTION: A printer 1 includes a cover 19, a first engaging mechanism 110, and a second engaging mechanism 210. The cover 19 can rotate between an open position for opening a hole 7 and a closed position for closing the hole 7. The first engaging mechanism 110 includes a first slope 136 and a first protrusion 143 that can engage with each other. The second engaging mechanism 210 includes a second slope 236 and a second protrusion 243 that can engage with each other. The direction of rotation of the cover 19 toward the open position is defined as an opening direction. An obtuse angle β1, which is defined by the opening direction and the first slope 136, is smaller than an obtuse angle β2, which is defined by the opening direction and the second slope 236. When the cover 19 is apart from the closed position in the opening direction, the first slope 136 is disposed between the first protrusion 143 and the second protrusion 243.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
