PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To realize stable transportation of a recording medium even when the recording medium having different specifications is used.SOLUTION: A recording medium transportation mechanism 30 transporting a recording medium recorded with information along a transportation path 32 having a planar region comprises: a main drive roller pair 36 consisting of a plurality of feed rollers 38 and roller holding shafts 39 holding the plurality of feed rollers 38 at predetermined intervals, obtaining driving force and rotating; and freely rotatable driven rollers 37 individually corresponding to the feed rollers 38 and being pressed with predetermined pressures. The roller holding shafts 39 of the main drive roller pair 36 are supported by haft support members 55 and 56 at predetermined portions in axial directions in directions against reactive force generated by the feed rollers 38 and the driven rollers 37.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3 |
