PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a virtual image display device that can guide an empty parking space by using a virtual image in an accurate and easily understandable manner.SOLUTION: A virtual image display device projects a video output from a projector 4 on a screen 5, reflects the video projected on the screen 5 on a windshield 7 of a vehicle 2 to cause a driver 8 of the vehicle to visually recognize the video, and thereby creating a virtual image 9 of the video visually recognized by the driver 8 of the vehicle. A HUD 1 acquires the state of empty parking spaces arranged in a parking lot when the vehicle is located in the parking lot, and creates the virtual image 9 showing the state of empty parking spaces at a position visually recognized by the driver 8 of the vehicle and superimposed on the front of a passage side of the parking spaces.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 16 |
