The purpose of the present invention is to provide: a coil conductor manufacturing method that enables conductor thickness to be made uniformly thick and manufacturing efficiency to be improved; and an induction coil provided with a coil conductor manufactured by such method. In order to achieve the foregoing, utilized is a coil conductor manufacturing method that uses an electrolytic copper plating method, wherein the method is characterized in that: an electrolytic copper plating liquid contains copper sulfate, sulfuric acid, a cationic surfactant, an organic sulfur compound, and a smoothing agent; and the coil shape is formed by carrying out electrolytic deposition while spraying the electrolytic copper plating liquid onto the surface to be plated, at a flow rate of at least 2m/min.
