This process for metal nanoparticle production comprises a step in which a reactant fluid obtained by mixing a first liquid, which contains at least a starting-material salt for metal nanoparticles, with a second liquid, which contains a reducing agent for the starting-material salt, is passed through a reaction pipe, thereby synthesize the metal nanoparticles, the reactant fluid being a gas/liquid mixture phase stream.
