摘要 The invention relates to a method for forming an organic optoelectronic component (1), which method is provided in various exemplary embodiments. In the method, a substrate is provided which has at least one first electrically conductive electrode layer (14). An organic functional layer structure (22) is formed above the first electrically conductive electrode layer (14). A shadow mask (50) is arranged above the organic functional layer structure (22). The shadow mask (50) is irradiated with electromagnetic radiation (58) in such a way that a first sub-region (46) of the organic functional layer structure (22) is shaded by the shadow mask (50) and not irradiated, and a second sub-region (48) of the organic functional layer structure (22), predetermined by means of the shadow mask (50), is irradiated with electromagnetic radiation (58) such that the material of the organic functional layer structure (22) in the second sub-region (48) evaporates. A second electrode (23) is formed above the organic functional layer structure (22) in first sub-region.
