METHOD FOR USING LOCATION INFORMATION

Disclosed is a method for using location information, performed in a mobile communications terminal including near-field communications units connecting near-field communications channels to a near-field device, wireless processing units connecting communications channels to a base station in a wireless communications network, and a GPS signal receiving unit receiving a GPS satellite signal. The method includes: setting a location information transmission function mode which is preset to transmit location information of the mobile communications terminal to a designated server or terminal before the mobile communications terminal is rebooted; checking whether the location information transmission function mode is preset while or after a prescribed mobile communications procedure is performed when the mobile communications terminal is rebooted; if the location information transmission function mode is set before the mobile communications terminal is rebooted, identifying final location information stored in a storage area of the mobile communications terminal in response to the setting of the location information transmission function mode or identifying current location information determined after the mobile communications terminal is rebooted; and transmitting the identified location information to the designated server or terminal corresponding to the location information transmission function mode by using any one that can be connected among the near-field communications unit and the wireless processing unit.
