PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gear pump with pump gears which has both strength and size precision without using a special resin material nor an injection molding machine which prevents a molding sink from being formed.SOLUTION: A gear pump comprises a housing having a pump chamber having an intake and an outlet for fluid linked to each other, a motor, and pump gears as a pair of resin-made gears arranged in the pump chamber. The pump gears consist of a driving gear which is driven by the motor to rotate and a driven gear which engages the driving gear, a lightened part is recessed between a shaft hole part and a tooth part on an end face of each pump gear, and a rib molded integrally with each pump gear is provided at the lightened part, a gap being provided between a side face of the lightened part on the side of the tooth part and an opposite face of the rib which faces the side face.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
