PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load support mechanism that can always position and hold a load such as an article at a desired height without using additional lock means, friction force, and the like.SOLUTION: An article support device 1 comprises a movable support part 4 to which an article A is attached, an extension coil spring 10, and a balance device 12 connected therebetween. In the balance device, a winding cam disc 15 having a cam surface 34 of a spiral profile and a winding wheel 14 are attached to a rotary shaft 13 so as to be integrally rotatable, and one end of a spring wire 40 wound around the cam surface is drawn from the cam surface and connected to an end part of the extension coil spring. The winding wheel has a plurality of wheel pins 27 capable of adjusting the radial position. An end part of a lift wire 38 wound around the wheel pins is connected to the movable support part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2 |
