摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a liquid crystal alignment film that can provide a liquid crystal display element having good printability in applying a polymer composition on a substrate when applying an optical alignment method and has excellent afterimage characteristics.SOLUTION: A liquid crystal alignment film is manufactured by a method including the steps of applying a polymer composition containing a component (A) and a component (B) on a substrate to form a coating, and irradiating a surface of the substrate on which the polymer composition is applied with light. The compound (A) is a polymer including at least one selected from the group consisting of a partial structure represented by the following formula (1-1) and a partial structure represented by the following formula (1-2). The component (B) is a component represented by the following formula (3).
