PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a monitoring system that can grasp a situation in which monitoring camera should not be allowed to track an object to be tracked.SOLUTION: A monitoring system 1 comprises: a memorizing portion 44 that memorizes position information and photographable ranges of monitoring cameras 2; a monitoring camera tracking portion 43b that detects and tracks an object to be tracked on the basis of an image of each monitoring camera 2; a deviation determining portion 43c that determines whether or not an object to be tracked deviates from photographable ranges in all the monitoring cameras 2; an allowable time setting portion 43d that extracts the monitoring cameras 2 other than the monitoring cameras 2 which determine the deviations of the object on the basis of the position information, calculates predicted time of movement of the object to be tracked from the monitoring cameras 2 determining the deviations of the object to the other monitoring cameras 2, and sets allowable time on the basis of the longest predicted time of movement of the predicted time of movement; and a tracking-impossible determining portion 43e that determines that tracking of the object to be tracked is impossible when none of the monitoring cameras 2 detect the object to be tracked, and outputs the fact that the object cannot be tracked.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1 |
