A base band frame, a base station and a method for realizing a multi-mode base station by a single base band frame; the method includes that: at least two main control boards are configured in one base band frame; one or more corresponding software versions in wireless modes are stored in each main control board, and different main control boards correspond to different wireless modes; one of the at least two main control boards is set as a host main control board, and the rest are set as standby main control boards; each base band board in the base band frame acquires information of the main control board where the base band board belongs from the host main control board, and then acquires the software version from the main control board where the base band board belongs according to the information.
