Provided are a transmitting method for canceling an interference between beams in a millimeter wave band-based communication system and an apparatus thereof. When a signal is transmitted in a communication environment in which a service is provided through multiple beams within one cell, a sequence is generated based on a beam identifier assigned to each beam. The sequence includes a sequence for generating a reference signal and/or a sequence for scrambling data.
