The present invention relates to a system and method for a content providing service using location information in a mobile terminal, which provide a scheme for enabling a user to selectively set exposure time of location information in a mobile terminal, thereby simultaneously satisfying desire of users who want to utilize location information and desire of users who do not want to utilize location information. The present invention provides a system for a content providing service using location information in a mobile terminal, the system comprising: a location information setting unit which receives exposure time for location information from a mobile terminal, and sets the exposure time; an upload request unit which provides guidance so that location information of content to be uploaded is set in conjunction with the location information setting unit when uploading of the content including any one among a captured photo, a recorded video, and a text document is requested by the mobile terminal; and a location information exposure determination unit which determines whether to expose the location information of the content to be uploaded based on the exposure time of the location information which is preset through the location information setting unit before the content requested by the uploading request unit is uploaded, and also provides a method for a content providing service using location information in a mobile terminal. |
