PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To keep a quantity of condensate water produced when intake air is cooled to an appropriate quantity when EGR gas is cooled using the condensate water.SOLUTION: A second cooling part 50 implements heat exchange between condensate water 2 produced in a first cooling part 48 and EGR gas and the second cooling part 50 includes a reservoir part 58. The EGR gas can be distributed to a first passage where the EGR gas is returned to intake air after being cooled in the second cooling part 50 and a second passage where the EGR gas is returned to the intake air without being cooled in the second cooling part 50. When a quantity of the condensate water 2 in the reservoir part 58 is equal to or larger than an upper limit value, an intercooler control device 25 increases the EGR gas distributed to the first passage so as to accelerate the heat exchange between the condensate water 2 and the EGR gas and to evaporate the condensate water 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 12 |
