PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source device 60 that is a compact, high luminance, long-life light source and enables projection of a bright, clear, high-quality image, and a projection device.SOLUTION: A light source device comprises: an excitation light source 71; a phosphor plate 323 that receives excitation light emitted from the excitation light source to emit fluorescent light; a driving part that reciprocatingly moves the phosphor plate; and a drive control part that controls the driving part in synchronization with a video signal to reciprocatingly move the phosphor plate.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5 |
