PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a V belt deterioration detection device capable of detecting deterioration of a V belt even during operation of an appliance.SOLUTION: A V belt deterioration detection device comprises: a roller 11; a rotation shaft 12 attached to the roller 11; and right and left side detection devices 20, 30, attached to right and left end parts of the rotation shaft 12 respectively, for measuring a vertical displacement amount and an inclination amount in a width direction, of a V belt 1. The right side detection device 20 comprises: a right side housing 21 on which, scale marks are displayed with intervals of 1 mm, in which 0 mm is a center of the scale marks, on left and right sides of a front face opening; a right side measurement bar 23 whose lower end part is attached to a right end part of the rotation shaft 12, and whose upper end part is inserted into the right side housing 21; a right side pointer plate 24 attached to a top face of the right side measurement rod 23; and a right side compression spring 25 whose upper end is attached to an upper side of an inner face of the right side housing 21, and whose lower end is attached to a top face of the right side pointer plate 24.
