Provided are a method and apparatus for determining incremental data in a redirect-on-write-based storage server. By recording a maximum starting logic address aZ of a data block allocated to a first object by a storage server up to a Tn+1 moment in metadata of a snapshot Sn+1 of the first object at the Tn+1 moment, and recording a maximum starting logic address aM of the data block allocated to the first object by the storage server up to a Tn moment in metadata of a snapshot Sn of the first object at the Tn moment, the data block allocated to the first object by the storage server can be determined up to the Tn+1 moment after the Tn moment. With respect to the prior art, the present invention is simpler to achieve. |
