Provided are a mobility management method and device. The method comprises: a secondary eNB sending to a gateway a first message for requesting a route update, wherein the first message for requesting the route update carries downlink general packet radio service tunnel protocol (GTP) information about a load allocated by itself and needing to be established itself and received uplink GTP information about a load allocated by a signalling gateway (SGW) and needing to be established on itself (S202); and the secondary eNB receiving a first confirmation message returned by the gateway, wherein the first confirmation message carries uplink and downlink GTP information about the load allocated by the gateway respectively for the secondary eNB and the SGW and needing to be established on itself (S204). By utilizing the present invention, the S1 signalling load between a RAN and a core network in the secondary eNB (SeNB) management flow of a UE can be effectively reduced, delay in the SeNB management flow is decreased, and the service quality is improved. |
