The present invention relates to certain compounds of Formulae Ic, Id and Ie and pharmaceutical compositions based thereon that modulate the activity of cannabinoid CB-receptors. The present invention further relates to certain compounds of Formulae Ic, Id and Ie and pharmaceutical compositions based thereon that modulate the activities of both the CB-receptor and the CB-receptor. Compounds of the present invention and pharmaceutical compositions thereof are directed to methods useful in the treatment of a CB/CBreceptor-mediated disorder in an individual, in particular pain, for example bone and joint pain, and pain associated with osteoarthritis. The present invention also relates to methods for the treatment of a cannabinoid receptor-mediated disorder in an individual, in particular a CBreceptor-mediated disorder or a CB/CBreceptor-mediated disorder, more particular pain or osteoarthritis.
