PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a weed-proof structure of soil having sufficient weed-proof effect even in a cold region, and a weed-proofing method of soil which allows weed control measures to be implemented by simple steps.SOLUTION: A seed-proof structure of soil includes a solidified magnesia layer 14 between a soil 10 and a surface soil 12. The soil 10 and the surface soil 12 include magnesia mixed thereto, respectively. A weed-proofing method of soil includes the steps of: spreading and leveling powdery magnesia 14 on the surface of soil 10; spreading and leveling the surface soil 12 on the magnesia 14; spraying water on the surface of the surface soil 12; and applying pressure to the surface soil 12. |
