The present invention relates to a nuclear power plant comprising a containment vessel (2). The containment vessel includes: a reactor pressure vessel (3) for accommodating fissile nuclear fuel; aerosol filter stages (6, 6′); a pressure relief pipe (8) allowing a filtered gas volume flow within the aerosol filter stages (6, 6′) to pass therethrough so as to be discharged to circumambience through a through opening within the containment vessel (2); and iodine filter stages (7, 7′) through which the filtered gas volume flow within the aerosol filter stages (6, 6′) passes to be filtered before being discharged to the circumambience, the iodine filter stages (7, 7′) being arranged within the containment vessel (2). The aerosol filter stages (6, 6′) and the iodine filter stages (7, 7′) are connected to each other such that the gas volume flow is transferred from the aerosol filter stages (6, 6′) to the iodine filter stages (7, 7′) at the fundamentally same pressure level. |
