The present invention relates to a cylindrical secondary battery having positive and negative electrode tabs protruding in the same direction. More specifically, provided is the cylindrical secondary battery which comprises: an electrode assembly (jelly-roll) having a structure in which a positive electrode and a negative electrode are wound while interposing a separation membrane therebetween; a cylindrical battery case mounted with the electrode assembly in a state in which the electrode assembly is impregnated in an electrolyte; and a cap assembly mounted on an opened upper end of the cylindrical battery case. The positive and negative electrode tabs of the jelly-roll protrude from an upper portion of the jelly-roll, wherein the positive electrode tab is coupled to a lower surface of the cap assembly, and the negative electrode tab is coupled to an inner surface of the cylindrical battery case. The objective of the present invention is to provide the cylindrical second battery having a structure with improved productivity of a battery and production yield by easily coupling the electrode tabs to the battery case and the cap assembly without an additional reforming process and components such as a reforming pin, a welding rod, or the like.
