The present invention relates to a gasifier fly ash removal technique and, more particularly, to a fly ash removing apparatus for a gasifier using simplified stripping and cooling equipment and a fly ash removing method for a gasifier using simplified stripping and cooling steps. According to the present invention, nitrogen gas is injected into sluice and storage tanks, and harmful gas stripping and fly ash cooling functions are transferred to the sluice and storage tanks, respectively. Accordingly, additional stripping/cooling equipment requiring pressure balance control or the like can be omitted, equipment costs can be reduced, and control can be simplified.
