That is, a background sound included in sound information is distinguished before a sound pattern matched to the sound information received from a sensor device is checked. And the background sound is removed. Thereby, the accuracy and efficiency in a sound pattern matching process can be greatly improved. The apparatus includes a distinguishing part, a determining part, and a checking part.
