A head lice comb 101 for treating head lice infested hair comprises a housing forming a handle 202 and a head 203. The head 203 comprises teeth 204 which are preferably configured to have a spacing of between 0.20mm and 0.30mm. The handle 202 may include a reservoir of treatment fluid 602 which is dispensed through at least one aperture 603. The aperture(s) 603 is preferably arranged adjacent the teeth 204. In one disclosed dispensing mechanism, pressing button 209 causes rod 615 to depress the piston 612 within the displacement pump 611. Fluid is then pushed along the conduit 610 to the teeth 204. The plurality of teeth 204 extract insects and insect matter such as nits from the hair and the dispensing mechanism dispenses a treatment fluid efficacious in the treatment of head lice. |
